Aziz Gafurov is a senior executive with over 20 years of experience in corporate governance, risk management, investment policy, and strategic advisory. He has held leadership positions across public institutions, international advisory platforms, and private sector organizations, working with foreign investors, development banks, and government bodies in Uzbekistan, Central Asia, and the EU.
Mr. Gafurov has held leadership roles in both the private and public sectors,
contributing to economic reforms, business development, and financial due
diligence. He has also been instrumental in launching major investment projects
and strengthening Uzbekistan’s financial and business environment.
Mr. Gafurov holds a Ph.D. in economic sciences and multiple
professional certifications, including in audit, banking, and finance. His
expertise spans risk management, corporate strategy, and regulatory frameworks.
As Head of Secretariat, he plays a key role in facilitating investor relations,
policy coordination, and institutional development.
